People love to ask me how I became a photographer specializing in families, children and pets in the St Louis area. I am a single mom to two amazing boys. After my divorce I found photography hasn't just become my life; its given me my life back. My boys are growing so fast and I am in the "golden years" where they are done with naps and meltdowns and aren't teenagers yet. Photography is my way of remembering these days. I look back at where we have come from and see where we are today and I am forever in awe of this life my kids and I are creating. These pictures I have are worth a thousand words
I have been so blessed by my hard work and have watched my dreams come a reality; my images not only hang in the homes of my clients but I have also had my work featured in magazines, blogs, websites and I have participated in art gallery showings. My goal is not only to provide amazing photographs at a reasonable price but to capture the essence of the moment and for each photograph to tell your unique story. I look forward to working with you
I work hard to make sure I get the kind of photos you desire. I meet with you ahead of time to hear your ideas about what you are looking for and what you want. I work with anyone and everyone; I have done photo sessions with babies, children, special needs children, families and their pets, sometimes only their pets, engaged couples.....

I work with anyone and everyone; I have done photo sessions with babies, children, special needs children, families and their pets, sometimes only their pets, engaged couples......the list goes on and on. I love getting to meet new people and because I take the time to get to know you it makes my work all the more intimate and highlights the essence of what you want me to capture. Life goes so fast and these moments that make up our lives come and go in the blink of an eye. I want to help you remember how that tiny bundle of joy felt in your arms, the way that little hand felt in yours, how much laughter your pet brings to your life, or how excited you and your loved one are about building a lifetime of love together. I am confident I can provide you with images that will be cherished
• Session Tips
*It is great to coordinate colors, but there is no need to make everyone match. Pick a couple of colors and go with that, as well as outfits everyone is comfortable in
*Accessories add to the session! It is great to add necklaces, ties, sunglasses, etc.. Don't hesitate to bring extra accessories. Lots of times kids love to play with necklaces, hats, favorite toys or stuffed animals....
*Patterns on clothing can be fun, but try not to have too many. The clothes should add to the images but not take away from it
*Avoid all white or all black clothing. Those two colors can throw off the lighting causing your pictures to not have the quality you deserve
*Think about what is on your feet. You probably wouldn't want a picture of dirty shoes hanging on your wall for years to come
• Session Location and Colors
*Think about where your session is being held. If it is outdoors in a green park during spring then green wouldn't be the best color to have everyone to wear
•Keep In Mind
*It may take a bit of time for everyone to feel comfortable, so I may take a few minutes to allow everyone to warm up before we begin
*I love candid photos so don't always be focused on trying to pose. Sometimes the best pictures are the ones of snuggling, hugging, kissing, holding hands and playing
*Try not to look down to see your child's expression when I say smile. Its natural to look and see what they are doing but I need you to be looking and smiling at me
*Please do not scold your children during the photo shoot. It can be impossible to help your child turn their mood around. Often times children will have an easier time listening to me because I am not their parent
*Sessions are typically scheduled for about 50 minutes unless otherwise noted; but I don't watch the clock.
